The Wix plan doesn't go away
Stores, Bookings and most business apps need a paid Wix plan whether the front end is the Editor or headless. Wix Managed Headless hosting has its own plan; self-hosting (Cloudflare, Vercel, Netlify) is free to cheap for most sites. Check the current prices on Wix's site; they change.

Upkeep
- Dependency updates and SDK changes: a few hours a quarter.
- Layout changes go through the developer: budget an hourly rate or a care plan ($195/month with Consult With Ari).
- Content changes stay free: the dashboard works as before.
Questions to ask any quote
- Which Editor apps am I using today, and what replaces each one?
- Does checkout stay on Wix's hosted pages? (It should.)
- Who owns the code and where is it hosted?
- How are redirects and the sitemap handled so rankings survive?
- What's the monthly cost after launch, all in?
